Dhamaal 4 Review: A Loud Comedy That Fails to Deliver Big Fun

I went to watch Dhamaal 4 with one simple hope. I wanted to laugh without thinking too much. The earlier films in the series had silly moments, crazy characters, and fun scenes that made people smile. This new film promises the same kind of entertainment. Sadly, it does not live up to that promise.

From the first few minutes, the film tries very hard to make the audience laugh. Every scene feels loud. Every character tries to be funny. But after some time, all the shouting, silly jokes, and over-the-top action become tiring instead of enjoyable. By the end, I felt more exhausted than entertained.

For me, Dhamaal 4 is a big disappointment. It gets only 1 out of 5 stars.

The Story Feels Old and Predictable

The film once again follows a treasure hunt. The characters run from one place to another in search of money while many problems come their way. This idea worked well in the past because it felt fresh and exciting. This time, everything feels familiar.

Almost every twist becomes easy to guess. There are very few surprises. The film follows the same formula from start to finish without adding anything new. After a while, it becomes clear where the story will go.

A comedy does not always need a complex story, but it should at least keep the audience interested. Sadly, this one fails to do that.

Comedy That Rarely Makes You Laugh

The biggest problem with Dhamaal 4 is its humor.

Many jokes depend on loud voices, funny faces, and people falling down. These tricks may bring a smile once or twice, but they lose their charm very quickly. Several scenes feel stretched for no reason.

Many jokes also remind you of older comedy films. Instead of fresh ideas, the film depends on the same style that audiences have already seen many times before.

There were moments when the theatre stayed quiet because the jokes simply did not work. That is never a good sign for a comedy film.

A Great Cast Deserves Better

The film brings together a talented group of actors. Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh, and Jaaved Jaaferi know how to entertain audiences. They have good comic timing and have proved their talent in many films.

Even with such a strong cast, the weak script gives them very little to work with.

The chemistry between the actors remains one of the better parts of the movie. You can see that they are comfortable with each other. However, good chemistry alone cannot save poor writing.

Many supporting characters also appear only to deliver jokes that fail to create any real impact.

Too Much Noise, Too Little Fun

One thing that stands out throughout the film is the constant noise.

Every scene feels bigger and louder than the last one. Characters keep shouting. Background music becomes too loud. Action scenes become unrealistic. Instead of excitement, all this creates fatigue.

Comedy works best when there is a balance between funny moments and quiet moments. Here, there is hardly any balance.

The film keeps pushing the audience without giving them enough time to enjoy the jokes.

CGI Makes Many Scenes Look Fake

Modern technology can improve a film when used carefully. In Dhamaal 4, the visual effects often look artificial.

Several action scenes depend heavily on CGI. Instead of making the film exciting, these scenes look fake and unrealistic. The cartoon-like visuals reduce the impact even more.

The franchise has always stayed away from realism, but this time the visual effects become too distracting.

Fans May Still Find Something to Enjoy

Even though I did not enjoy the film, some viewers may still have a good time.

If you love the Dhamaal series and enjoy simple slapstick comedy, you may laugh at a few scenes. Families with young children may also find some clean entertainment.

The film never becomes serious. It stays light from beginning to end. For some people, that may be enough.

This is probably the biggest reason why audience reactions are better than critic reviews.

Critics Have Mixed Opinions

Professional reviewers have shared mixed reactions to Dhamaal 4.

Some critics believe the film is a decent family entertainer that stays true to the franchise. They feel fans of silly comedy will enjoy it.

Others strongly disagree. They say the film depends on old jokes, a weak story, and excessive CGI. According to them, the franchise has not moved forward and simply repeats the same formula.

This difference in opinion clearly shows that the film appeals mainly to loyal fans rather than everyone else.

Audience Response Is Better Than Reviews

Interestingly, many moviegoers have reacted more positively than critics.

Several viewers have called the film a “paisa vasool” entertainer because they wanted nothing more than simple comedy. Others have described it as average and repetitive.

Social media also shows mixed opinions. Some people enjoyed the madness, while others felt disappointed after high expectations.

So, audience opinion remains divided.

Strong Box Office Despite Weak Reviews

One thing cannot be ignored.

Even after mixed and negative reviews, Dhamaal 4 has performed well at the box office.

The film enjoyed a strong opening and showed good growth on its second day. It also crossed ₹50 crore worldwide during its opening weekend.

This proves that the Dhamaal brand still attracts a large audience. Many people walked into theatres because of the franchise and its popular cast.

Whether the film continues this momentum in the coming weeks will depend on audience word of mouth.

Final Verdict

Dhamaal 4 had everything needed for a fun comedy. It had popular actors, a successful franchise, and a simple idea that had worked before. Sadly, it wastes all those advantages.

The story feels outdated. Most jokes fail to create laughter. The screenplay lacks freshness. The loud presentation becomes tiring after a while, and the heavy use of CGI makes many scenes look less believable.

Yes, the cast does its best, and loyal fans may still enjoy parts of the film. But for anyone who expects fresh comedy and strong writing, this movie offers very little.

I walked into the theatre with hope and came out disappointed.

My Rating: 1/5 Stars.

Dhamaal 4 may earn money because of its famous name, but as a comedy, it misses the chance to leave a lasting smile.
